1. Who this policy applies to

This policy describes how AAMUP LLC, doing business as AAMUP, handles information associated with the public website, phone/email inquiries, and service records. Questions may be directed to 503-482-8283 or david@aamup.org.

2. No website customer database

AAMUP does not currently provide customer signup, login, online repair-request forms, customer profiles, or a web-based customer database. The website is informational and directs customers to contact AAMUP by phone or email.

3. Website technical data

Like most websites, AAMUP's hosting and network providers may process standard technical request information needed to deliver and protect the site. This may include IP address, browser or device information, requested URL, timestamp, network/security information, and similar server or CDN logs. AAMUP does not use website cookies, analytics, behavioral advertising, or cross-site tracking.

4. Information you provide directly

If you call or email AAMUP, you may choose to provide information such as your name, phone number, email address, device make/model, device condition, photos, error messages, availability, service history, and other details needed to evaluate or perform service.

Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, government identification numbers, health information, or other highly sensitive information by ordinary email unless AAMUP specifically requests a safer method for an approved service need.

5. Service and business records

If AAMUP performs work, AAMUP may create and retain service records reasonably needed to document the job. Depending on the service, those records may include customer contact information, device information, diagnostic findings, approved scope, parts, labor, completion date, warranty information, payment status, and invoice/accounting information.

These records are maintained for purposes such as performing service, handling warranty questions, responding to disputes, bookkeeping, taxes, fraud prevention, and meeting legal obligations. They are not maintained as a public customer portal.

6. Email and phone providers

Email and telephone communications necessarily pass through communications providers. Those providers may process message metadata, content, phone numbers, timestamps, routing information, or related technical data under their own terms and privacy practices. AAMUP uses those services to respond to inquiries and manage service communication.

The website's Email AAMUP link opens Google's Gmail compose service in the browser. Clicking it may cause Google to process standard request information under Google's own terms and privacy practices. You do not have to use Gmail: you may copy david@aamup.org into another email service or call AAMUP instead.

7. Payments

AAMUP does not currently collect payment-card information through this website. Payment arrangements are handled directly with the customer. If a third-party payment service is used for a particular transaction, that provider may process payment information under its own privacy terms.

8. How information is used

• Respond to questions and determine whether AAMUP can support a requested service.
• Diagnose, repair, configure, or otherwise perform approved work.
• Communicate estimates, approvals, completion status, pickup/return details, and warranty information.
• Create service, invoice, accounting, tax, and warranty records.
• Protect AAMUP, customers, devices, systems, and the website from misuse, fraud, or security threats.
• Comply with applicable law and resolve disputes.

9. Sharing

AAMUP does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers when reasonably necessary to operate the business or complete an approved service, such as hosting, email, telephone, payment, parts, shipping, accounting, or professional-service providers. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a legitimate business transfer subject to applicable law.

10. Retention

AAMUP retains information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including service history, warranty administration, accounting, taxes, dispute resolution, security, and legal obligations. Retention periods may differ by record type.

11. Security

AAMUP uses reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the information and the size of the business. No storage or communication method can be guaranteed completely secure. Customers should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information and should maintain their own device backups and account security.

12. Children

The AAMUP website and services are not directed to children under 13. AAMUP does not knowingly use the website to collect personal information from children under 13.

13. Your questions and requests

If you have a privacy question or want to request access, correction, or deletion of information that AAMUP maintains about you, contact AAMUP at david@aamup.org or 503-482-8283. AAMUP may need to verify your identity and may retain information when required or permitted by law.

14. Changes to this policy

AAMUP may update this policy as the business or website changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current public version. If AAMUP later adds online accounts, forms, analytics, payments, or other material data processing, this policy should be updated before those features are placed into production.
